Gap certificate / affidavit
A signed statement (often on stamp paper) explaining what you did during any break in your education — asked for when there is a study gap.
A gap certificate/affidavit documents a genuine reason for an education gap (work, health, family, exam prep) and is often backed by supporting evidence. It should be truthful — fabricated gap documents cause refusals. See the study-gap guide for how to present a gap well.
