DLI (Designated Learning Institution)
A school approved by a Canadian province to host international students; you can only get a study permit for a DLI.
Every DLI has a number starting with "O". Admission to a non-DLI cannot support a study permit, and only some DLIs make graduates eligible for a post-graduation work permit. Check the DLI list on the IRCC site before you pay any deposit.
