WES / credential evaluation
An assessment by a recognised body (e.g. WES) that maps your Indian degree to the destination country's system — often required for PR and some admissions.
A credential evaluation (WES, ECE, IQAS and others) verifies your marksheets and states their equivalence abroad. Canada's Express Entry needs one (an ECA); some universities accept or ask for one. Apply early — it needs documents sent from your university and takes weeks.
